Eva Lucille Veinotte 2003 Halifax Chronicle Herald Published: Tuesday, April 29, 2003. >From the collection of Gwen Christie Eva Lucille Veinotte, 77, Berwick, passed away Sunday, April 27, 2003, in Grand View Manor, Berwick. Born in First Centre, Lunenburg County, she was a daughter of the late William Dean and Lois Ruth (Cross) Wentzell. Eva had been employed at the Berwick Bakery for a number of years and had later worked as a cleaning lady for several local businesses. She was a member of St. Eudora Rebekah Lodge 43, Berwick, a member of Christ Anglican Church, Berwick, and a former member of the Anglican Church Women. Surviving are her sons, Sheldon (Sherry) Veinotte, Cleveland Road, Windermere; Laurie (Anna)Veinotte, Toronto; granddaughters, Crystal, Nicole, and Jennifer Veinotte, all of Toronto; stepgrandson, Christopher Ward, Ottawa; brother, Alvin (Lucille) Wentzell, Rhodes Corner; sisters, Freda Baugil, Northwest; Carrie Young, Lunenburg; good friend, Jean Slauenwhite, Berwick. She was predeceased by a daughter in infancy. Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, in H.C. Lindsay Memorial Chapel, Berwick. The funeral service and Rebekah Lodge service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 1, in Christ Anglican Church, Berwick, Rev. Charles Bull officiating. A reception will be held in Christ Anglican Church Hall following the services. The committal service will be held at 2:30 p.m. in Sunny Valley Cemetery, First Centre. Donations may be made to the St. Eudora Rebekah Lodge Memorial Fund or Canadian Diabetes Association.
