Marjorie Gertrude Trahan 2004 Halifax Chronicle Herald Published: Friday, July 30, 2004. >From the collection of Gwen Christie Marjorie Gertrude Trahan, 86, Yarmouth, died July 27, 2004, in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born February 28, 1918, in Yarmouth, she was a daughter of the late William and Marie (Amirault) Gordon. She was a member of Notre Dame Parish. She was an avid bowler in her younger years and she took pride in her roses. Surviving are daughters, Jean Elizabeth (Mrs. Ivan Doucette), Yarmouth; Elaine (George) Rogers, Prince George, British Columbia; brothers, Henry, George, Victor, and William, all of Yarmouth; sisters, Katherine (Mrs. Enos Surette), Florence (Mrs. Edmund Harris), Rosalie (Mrs. Robert Stanley), all of Yarmouth; grandchildren, Heather Doucette, Randy Doucette, Patti Blokland, Cheryl Rogers, Jennifer Kitsul; great-grandchildren, Ryan, Justin, Megan, Emilie, Kelsey, Leah, Alex, Hailey, and Noah. She was predeceased by her husband, Lewis; two infant sons; granddaughter, Shelley; grandson, Randall; brothers, Willard and Albert. Visitation 7-9 p.m. today with prayers at 8 p.m. in Sweeny's Funeral Home, Yarmouth. Funeral 11 a.m. Thursday in Notre Dame Catholic Church, Father Gerald LeBlanc officiating. Interment in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada.
