Ruth Alexandra Fritze 2001 Halifax Chronicle Herald Published: Monday, October 15, 2001. >From the collection of Gwen Christie Ruth Alexandra Fritze, 84, Halifax, passed away October 7, 2001, in Melville Lodge. Born in Dominion, she was a daughter of the late Alexander and Mary (MacLeod) Campbell graduated from Sydney Academy and later she attended Nova Scotia Teachers' College. Ruth was a teacher in Mahone Bay and Dominion. She later was principal at Mahone Bay School and worked as a librarian at Saint Mary's University. She had great interest in the Elder Learners Program, Halifax. She was a member of the United Church of Canada. Surviving are sons, Garth, Calgary; Thane (Maureen), Nova Scotia; sister-in-law, Ethel Campbell, Dominion. She was the last remaining member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by brothers, John Hughie and Roy Campbell; sisters, Katie Campbell and Mildred MacNeil. Cremation has taken plae. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, October 18, in J. Albert Funeral Home, Herring Cove Road, Halifax, Rev. Kevin Little officiating. Burial in Hillcrest Cemetery, Lunenburg.
