Alice Luella Giffin 2002 Halifax Chronicle Herald >From the collection of Charlene Veinotte Alice Luella Giffin, 85, Halifax, passed away July 17, 2002, at home, after a lengthy illness. Born in Indian Point, Lunenburg County, she was a daughter of the late Lemuel and Luella (Heisler) Eisnor. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She came to live in Halifax in her early 20's. She was employed by Eaton's for 22 years and was an active member of West End Baptist Church and was active in community activities. She was well-known for her pleasant smile and personality. A devoted mother and grandmother, she will be sadly missed by all her family. She is survived by her loving husband, Cyril; daughter, Nancy (Tom) Perry, Summerside; sons, Wayne (Carol) Giffin, Summerside; Larry (Pam), Dartmouth; grandchildren, Tara Lynn, Craig, Melissa, Todd, Jillian, Sarah. She was predeceased by sisters, Lila, Jean, Leta, Gloria; brothers, Clyde, Harry, Lawrence, Wilfred. The remains are resting in Atlantic Funeral Home, Bayers Road, Halifax with visitation 7-9 p.m. today and 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Friday. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday in West End United Baptist Church. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia, Canadian Diabetes Association or a charity of choice.
