Born on Cottles Island, Newfoundland, she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Elsie (Short) King. She is survived by sons, Leo Williams, Lockeport; Ian Williams (Betty), East Green Harbour; Arnold Williams, East Green Harbour; daughters, Rita Thimot (Arden), Cornwallis; Margaret Scott (Lyle) and Stella Enslow (Arthur), both of West Green Harbour; Shirley Williams (Peter), Lunenburg; brothers, Herbert King, Grand Falls; Lester King, Cottles Island; sisters, Joyce White, Baleta Canning, Rita Hill, all of Cottles Island; Joan Normore, Springdale, Newfoundland; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Daniel Williams; brothers, Percy, Phillip, Herbert; sisters, Stella, Yvonne, Tassie; one grandchild. Visiting 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today in H.M. Huskilson's Funeral Home, Lockeport. Funeral service 2 p.m. Monday in H.M. Huskilson's Funeral Home, Shelburne, Rev. Matthew Sponagle officiating. Burial in St. Thomas Parish Cemetery.
