Marguerite Alice Oliver 2007 Halifax Chronicle Herald Published: Monday, October 15, 2007. >From the collection of Gwen Christie Marguerite Alice Oliver, 70, Liverpool, passed away peacefully October 14, 2007, in Queens General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Agnes (Doherty) Beazley. Marge was a former co-owner and operator of Clay Corner Crafts in Liverpool. She was an avid crafter and potter, enjoying quilting, knitting and needlepoint. She was also as avid bridge player. She is survived by her husband George W.; daughters, Shelley (John) Oickle, Rothesay, New Brunswick; Julie (Larry) Romain, New Glasgow; sons, Michael Yarn, Qualicum, British Columbia; Paul (Paula) Yarn, Dartmouth; Thomas (Sandy) Oliver, Edmonton; Stephen (Janis) Oliver, Dartmouth; William (Kathleen) Oliver, Toronto; 16 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; brother, Paul (Diane), Waverley. She was predeceased by her first husband, Roy Yarn. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers' Funeral Home, Liverpool, where visitation will be Tuesday, October 16, from 6-8 p.m. and where funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 17, at 1 p.m., Rev. Richard Bristo officiating. Burial will be in Zion United Cemetery, College Street, Liverpool. Fmaily flowers only. Donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society.
