UNKNOWN PAPER - MRS. GORDON DARRACH 1977. Mrs. Gordon DARRACH, 62, of 24 Gateway Road, Halifax, died Tuesday in Victoria General Hospital. Born in West Branch, Pictou County, she was the former Jean MacKENZIE, daughter of Mrs. Jennie (MacKAY) MacKENZIE, and the late Hugh D. MacKENZIE. Following graduation from the Grace Maternity Hospital she was employed on the staff of the Wolfville Hospital and on private duty in Halifax. She was a member of St. Andrew's United Church and had various postings in Canada and Germany. She was involved in the army chapel activities and the Girl Guides of Canada. She was a charter member of the ladies auxiliary Cobequid Branch Canadian Legion. Surviving besides her mother, are her husband, Lt. Col. Gordon DARRACH, retired Army chaplain; two sons, Ian and Alastair, both of Halifax; four sisters, Mrs. Mable LAURIE, Mrs. Muriel SUTHERLAND, Mrs. Joyce WATTERS, all of Scotsburn; Mrs. Dorothy MacDONALD, Duram; a brothers, James MacKENZIE, West Branch. The body is at Snow's Funeral Home, Halifax. Funeral service will be held Friday at 2:30 p.m. in Bethel Presbyterian Church, Scotsburn, Rev. W.J.O. ISAAC officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
