Gladys Ann Feener 2002 Halifax Chronicle Herald >From the collection of Charlene Veinotte Gladys Ann Feener, 100, Middleton, died September 1, 2002, at home. Born in Windsor, she was a daughter of the late John MacDonald and Bertha Ann (Shaw) Carr. She was the oldest living resident of Middleton. She was an active member of St. John's United Church, Middleton, member for 52 years and past Worthy Matron of Annaval Chapter, Order of Eastern Star from 1955-56 and received her 50 year Jewel. She was a member of Rebekah Lodge for a total of 72 years. She served as treasurer for Order of Eastern Star and Middleton Hospital Auxiliary for several years. Surviving are long-time caregiver and friend, Mary Ann Hannam, Greenwood; nephew, Robert (Judy) Leonard, Manomet, Massachusetts. She was predeceased by her husband, Fred; brothers, Bert and George and infant brothers, Jack and Gordon. Visiting 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today, with Order of Eastern Star, Annaval 31 service 7 p.m. today and funeral service 2 p.m. Wednesday, all in Warren T. Roop Funeral Home, Middleton, Rev. Ewen Moase officiating. Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery, Middleton. Donations to the Soldiers Memorial Hospital Foundation or Red Cross Society.
