Evelyn Louise Mosher 2008 Halifax Chronicle Herald >From the collection of Charlene Veinotte Evelyn Louise Mosher - It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Evelyn Louise Mosher, 80, of Lower Rose Bay, on Monday, August 11, 2008, at home. Born in Middle LaHave, she was a daughter of the late Austin and Marjorie (Mossman) Corkum. Evelyn was a faithful member of Trinity United Church, Rose Bay where in her earlier years she taught Sunday School and was part of the U.C.W. She was also a member of the Riverview Rebekah Lodge No. 56, Riverport. Evelyn shared the gift of love genuinely and graciously with all who knew her. Her warm smile, kind heart, and pleasant manner made her a joy to be around. Her home was a welcoming place to visit. Evelyn loved being a mother and grandmother and found deep fulfillment in her dedication to her family. Evelyn is survived by Max, loving and faithful husband for over 55 years; sons, Arnold (Liz), Lower Rose Bay; Peter (Colleen), Lunenburg; sister, Barbara (James) Young, Scarborough; grandchildren, Ryan (Erika), Scott (Rebecca), Kate, and Jenna. She was predeceased by an infant child; brothers, Harding and Gardiner. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, Lunenburg, where visitation will be held today from 7-9 p.m. A memorial service to celebrate Evelyn's life will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in Trinity United Church, Rose Bay, Rev. Ron Frampton officiating. Interment will be in Shepherd's Hill Cemetery, Riverport. Flowers from the immediate family only.
