Ervin Kester Hanley 2003 Halifax Chronicle Herald Published: Saturday, August 30, 2003. >From the collection of Gwen Christie Ervin Kester Hanley, 86, Chelsea, passed away Friday, August 29, 2003, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Bangs Falls, he was a son of the late John and Bernice (Joudrey) Hanley. Surviving are his wife, the former Viola Croft; daughters, Joyce (Jim) Brown; Doris Greek, all of Bridgewater; stepson, Robert (Janet) Robar, Middle Musquodoboit; stepdaughter, Linda Marsh, Timberlea; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Annie Ganter, Liverpool; Daisy Cook, Lunenburg; brother, John (Ollie) Henley, Brooklyn. He was predeceased by his first wife, Roxie Mailman; daughter, Dianne; brother, Gerald Hanley. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Monday in Sweeny's Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Funeral 11 a.m. Tuesday in Chelsea Baptist Church, Rev. John Kaulback and Pastor Tom Davidson officiating. Private family burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Chelsea. No flowers by request.
