Frances Mae Oickle 2011 Halifax Chronicle Herald Published: Tuesday, December 20, 2011. >From the collection of Gwen Christie Frances Mae Oickle, 88, of Pine Grove, formerly of Mahone Bay, went to be with the Lord Sunday, December 18, 2011, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Farmville, she was a daughter of the late Freeman and Elpheda (Spidle) Aulenback. Frances was a dedicated wife and and loving mother; a homemaker who had a passion for cooking and baking. You could always rely on her for a tasty plate of home-baked treats or a slice of pie to go with your cup of tea. She loved the Lord and used the talents he gave her by playing the guitar and singing. She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Garnet, Pine Grove; daughter, Lynda (Rick)Naugler, Pine Grove; brother, Palmer Aulenback, Farmville; grandchildren, Kyle and Dominic, Pine Grove; nephew, Elwood (Cindy) Veinotte, Cornwall; great nephews, Matthew and James Veinotte, both of Halifax. She was predeceased by sister, Grace (Percy) Veinotte, Cornwall. Visitation 7-9 p.m. today in R.A. Corkum Funeral Home, Wileville. Funeral service 2 p.m. Wednesday in Calvary Temple, Mahone Bay, Rev. James Haughn and Rev. Robert Inness officiating. Interment in Park Cemetery, Mahone Bay. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Calvary Temple, Mahone Bay, Heart and Stroke Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society.
