John Gray 1938 Bridgewater Bulletin Dalhousie, October 22- John Gray, aged 85 years, passed away at his home at Kentville, on October 12th., after an illness of two days. About two years ago, he lost his eyesight. For over 50 years he was engaged in lumbering. He was twice married; his first wife being Ada Joudrey, of New Burn. Surviving by this marriage are Mrs. James Veinotte of East Dalhousie and Albert, last heard of in Seattle. Those who predeceased him by this marriage are Minnie (Mrs. Naaman Wentzell) of Barss Corner; Percy and Archibald, who died in childhood. His second wife, who survives, was Martha DeAdder, of New Ross. Also surviving by this marriage are Mrs. M. Lorenzo and Mrs. A. Landry, both of New York City; and one son, Ellis, at home. Four children predeceased him by this marriage. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Born in New ross, Mr. Gray resided in Kentville for the past 22 years. Funeral services were held at Kentville on Saturday, October 15th. The beautiful array of flowers testified to the esteem in which the deceased was held.
