Mrs. Lambert McNayr 1942 Bridgewater Bulletin The communities of Springfield, Lake Pleasant, and Falkland Ridge were saddened to learn of the passing of Mrs. Lambert McNayr at the D.M. Hospital Thursday. Mrs. McNayr had been in poor health for some time but her death came as a shock to relatives and friends. A life-long resident of this place, being born here 78 years ago, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Durling, her friendly and loving disposition won her many friends and she always had a smile and kindly word for all. She leaves to mourn their loss a loving husband; two sons, Clyde and Perry, both of Springfield, Massachusetts; five daughters, (Hope) Mrs. Joseph Dill, Massachusetts; (Myra) Mrs. Ernest Whynott, Liverpool; (Ora) Mrs. Charles Keating, Massachusetts; (Ruth) Mrs. Robert Freeman, New York; and (Jeanne) Mrs. Maurice Taylor, Kingston. One daughter predeceased her less than a year ago. She also leaves one sister, Mrs. Cara McGrath, Long Island; and three brothers, Herbert of Hopedale, Massachusetts; Emory and Guilford of Springfield; also a number of grand-children. Interment was made at Springfield in the family lot. The floral tributes were many and beautiful. "She is gone and we shall miss her."
