    3. Dr. J. Bruce Crowe 1981 Halifax Chronicle Herald Dr. J. Bruce Crowe, 63, of New Germany, died Friday in Victoria General Hospital, Halifax. Born in Annapolis Royal, he was the son of the late Dr. A. Boyd and Nell (MacDonald) Crowe. He graduated from Dalhousie Medical School in 1943 and immediatley following graduation joined the Canadian Army Medical Corps, serving in Canada and Europe. He was an alumnus of the year of the Dalhousie Medical Association in 1980. He was a former chief of staff of Dawson Memorial Hospital, Bridgewater. Dr. Crowe was a former school board member and a former elder and choir member of Epworth United Church, New Germany. At the time of his death, he was chief of the New Germany Voluteer Fire Department. He was an associate of Suttles and Seawinds. In his younger days, he played hockey with Mount Allison University hockey team. He was an avid sportsman and fisherman. He is survived by his wife, the former Jessie Armstrong; two daughters, Vicki (Mrs. Gary Bardon), Bridgewater; and Beth (Mrs. James Keech), Grand Pre; two stepsons, Wilf Morley, Bridgewater; and Barclay Morley, Southport, Connecticut; three sisters, Nell and Val (Mrs. George Parker), both of Annapolis Royal and Dorothy (Mrs. John Page), Leamington, Ontario; and two grandchildren. The body is in Langille's Funeral Home, New Germany. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday in Epworth United Church, New Germany, Rev. Randy Crozsman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
