Born in The Hawk, he was a son of the late Fred and Cora Lee (Atwood) Nickerson. He is survived by his wife, the former Regina Maxwell; sons, Wendell (Linda), Clark's Harbour; Paul (Colleen), Brass Hill; daughers, Marilyn (Lionel) Atwood, The Hawk; Della (Ronnie) Newell, West Head; brothers, Everett, Clair, The Hawk; Hoover, West Head; sister, Edna Messenger, Newellton; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 4-6 , 7-9 p.m. Thursday in H. Huskilson's Funeral Home, Barrington. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday in Independent Baptist Church, Clark's Harbour, Rev. Stanley Fidler officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Lower Clark's Harbour. Memorial donations may be made to the Evergreen Cemetery, the Independent Baptist Church or any charity.
