John Keith Samuel Whynot 2007 Halifax Chronicle Herald >From the collection of Charlene Veinotte John Keith Samuel Whynot, 72, Riverport, died Saturday, March 10, 2007, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Middlewood, he was the son of the late William Bradford and Verna (Zwicker) Whynot. In his earlier years, Samuel worked in the woods lumbering and then went to sea working as a scallop fisherman out of Riverport and later with National Sea Products, Lunenburg. He was a faithful member of Trinity United Church, Rose Bay, where he served for over ten years as a trustee for the church. Samuel was an avid carpenter and handyman and enjoyed spending time with family at home. He will be truly missed by many. He is survived by his wife, the former Joyce Langille; daughter, Darlene Conrad (Raymond Wagner), Oakhill; sons, John (Karen), Big Lots; Keith, Lower Sackville Donald (Cynthia), Lower LaHave; brother, Stanley (Eunice), Middlewood; grandchildren, Stephanie, Jessica, Michael ,and Jonathan; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brother, Clyde and an infant brother, Raymond. Friends are invited to share their memories of Samuel during visitation today from 7-9 p.m. in Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, Lunenburg. A service to celebrate Samuel's life will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Trinity United Church, Rose Bay, Rev. Vivian Moores officiating. Interment will be in Shepherd's Hill Cemetery, Riverport. Flowers from the immediate family only. Memorial donations may be made to Trinity United Church, Canadian Cancer Society or to South Shore Regional Hospital.
