Born in Lunenburg, she was a daughter of the late Foster and Ellen(Slaunwhite) Morash. She was a member of the Westend United Baptist Church. She always had a great outlook on life and a positive influence on others. Surviving are her son, Gordon Gilbert; daughter, Shirley Gilbert, both of Halifax. She was predeceased by her husband, Gordon Gilbert; sisters, Mona Marryatt and Emmy(Cunningham) Bellew. Visitation 2-4 ,7-9 p.m. today and Sunday. Funeral service 10 a.m. Monday, all in J. Albert Walker Funeral Home, Halifax, Rev. Carl Price officiating. Burial to follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Lower Sackville. Donations to any charity.
