    3. Captain Murray T. Webber (Ret.) 2005 Halifax Chronicle Herald >From the collection of Charlene Veinotte Captain Murray T. Webber (Ret.), 80, Bridgewater, passed away peacefully in Harbour View Haven Home for Special Care, Lunenburg, on September 8, 2005. Born May 5, 1925, in Chester Basin, Murray was a son of the late Maxwell and Greta (Bauchman) Webber. Murray was a veteran of the Second World War, serving with the RCAF for three years. After the war, Murray attended the University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, for two years. He then returned to the RCAF where he served for 27 years, retiring with the rank of Captain. Upon retirement, he moved to Bridgewater where he worked for Michelin Tire for 13 years as a security officer. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Muriel (Hirtle); sons, Craig (Debby), Lawrencetown; Byron (Janice), Fredericton; daughter, Eileen (Howard) Demone, Bridgewater; sisters, Joyce Rogers, Edmonton; Betty (Dean) Eisnor), Chester Basin; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brother, Malcolm. Visitation will take place on Sunday, September 11, from 7-9 p.m. in Sweeny's Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Interment, attended by family members only, will take place at 11 a.m. on Monday, September 12, in Brookside Cemetery. The funeral service will take place in Bridgewater United Baptist Church, Rev. Eric Campbell officiating. A reception will follow in the church basement. The family has requested, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia, IWK Health Centre Foundation, Harbour View Haven or charity of donor's choice.
