Jessie Marion Morash 2007 Halifax Chronicle Herald >From the collection of Charlene Veinotte Jessie Marion Morash, 76, Blue Rocks, died Wednesday, March 7, 2007, in Fishermen's Memorial Hospital, Lunenburg. Born in Lunenburg, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Ada (Corkum) Romkey. Jessie was a faithful member of St. Barnabas Anglican Church, Blue Rocks, where she was a member of the church choir, the Ladies Guild, Bible Study Group, and a former Sunday School teacher. She served as a representative on the Regional Council for the Anglican Church. She was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time in her garden. She will be greatly missed by family and friends. Jessie is survived by her husband, Cyrus; daughter, Debbie (Winston) Skinner, Blue Rocks; son, Tom (Mary Jane) Morash, Lower Sackville; sisters, Daisy Hume, Garden Lots; Vivian Gibson, Hamilton; Kathereine (Maxwell) Knickle, Blue Rocks; brothers, Harold (Marjorie) Romkey, Garden Lots; Fred (Marjorie) Romkey, Lunenburg; grandchildren, Sarah, Joshua, and Ryan. She was predeceased by her brother, Gerald. Friends are invited to share their memories of Jessie during visitation on Sunday from 7-9 p.m. in Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, Lunenburg. Funeral service wil be held Monday at 2 p.m. in St. Barnabas Anglican Church, Blue Rocks, Rev. Douglas Chard officiating. Interment will be in Upper Blue Rocks Cemetery. Flowers from the immediate family only. Memorial donations may be made to St. Barnabas Anglican Church or Canadian Cancer Society.
