Geneva Gertrude Frelick 2006 Halifax Chronicle Herald Published: Friday, December 8, 2006. >From the collection of Gwen Christie Geneva Gertrude Frelick, 90, Stoney Island, Shelburne County, passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2006, in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born on March 27, 1916, in Stoney Island, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Lizzie (Crowell) Brannen. Geneva was a schoolteacher in South Side and Centreville Schools from 1945-1949. She also was a shopkeeper with her husband, Earle, in Stoney Island. She was an avid knitter, winning many prizes with her skills. Geneva was a soft and caring friend to all, sharing food and stories with anyone who stopped by. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by son, Bobby (Norma), Gavelton; grandchildren, Marilee (James Ross), Oak Park; Chesley (Amanda), Upper Clyde; great-grandchildren, Brittni, Jade, Brandon, James Jr., Samantha, and Autom. She was predeceased by husband, Earle; brothers, George and Everet. Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday in H. Huskilson's Funeral Home, Barrington. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday in H. Huskilson's Memorial Chapel,Barrington, Pastor Roy Quinlan and Rev. Shaun Hatfield officiating. Burial will be in Atlantic Cemetery, Stoney Island. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
