Ada Hendry Wright 1928 Bridgewater Bulletin Ada Hendry Wright, beloved wife of Deacon William Wright of East Dalhousie, aand the daughter of the late Burton Hendry, passed from the earth to her home on high on Tuesday, March 20, 1928. Mrs. Wright represented the highest type of true womanhood. She was a loyal wife, a devoted mother, a staunch friend, and a sympathizing neighbour. She loved her church and her God with all the ardor of her soul, and the little Baptist Church of which she has long been a member has lost one of the strongest, most earnest women. Tidings of her serious illness of pneumonia came as a shock to her many friends and her death is very deeply regretted, She leaves to mourn, her husband, three sons, Vernon and Clifton, at home; and Arthur in New York; three daughters, Miss Ethel in Idaho; Mable, wife of Mr. Arthur Hume of North Bay, Ontario, and Miss Ernestine, at home. Mrs. Hume came immediately upon learning of her mother's death and reached home in time to be present at the funeral, which took place on Friday, the 23rd. Mrs. Wright also leaves a sister, Mrs. C.R. Marshall of Falkland Ridge; and two brothers, Arthur Hendry of Brookfield and Edward Hendry of Milton, to mourn the loss of a sweet and gracious sister. The beautiful casket was carried from the home which she had loved so well and in which she had been so truly a home-maker by her two stalwart sons, Vernon and Clifton, assisted by A. Hendry and C.R. Marshall. The burial took place in the little cemetery beside the daughter, Hazel, who died some years ago. Mrs. Wright was 65 years old. Services were conducted by our pastor, the Rev. M.O. Brinton, who paid well deserved tribute to our sister. He took for his text," Her children shall rise up and call her blessed and her husband shall praise her." The little church and community have met with a great loss but it is the home and by the homefolks these lessons are felt most poignantly and to all the family we extend deepest sympathy. THe music was rendered by the choir from Falkland Ridge, including a duet "The Beautiful Land" by J. Sproule and E.G. Mason.
