Lillian Beatrice Oickle 2003 Halifax Chronicle Herald Published: Friday, December 12, 2003. >From the collection of Gwen Christie Lillian Beatrice Oickle, 90, Bridgewater, passed away December 10, 2003, in Hillside Pines Home for Special Care, Bridgewater. Born in Lunenburg County, she was a daughter of the late Bessie (Loder) Smith. She is survived by her daughter, Maria (Aubrey) Corkum-Harding, Shelburne; grandson, Peter Corkum, Bridgewater; brother, Roger (Merlene) Cross, Dartmouth; foster brother, Ross Whynot, Lunenburg County; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Harold; sisters, Margaret Herman, Mary Croft. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. today in Sweeny's Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Bridgewater, Pastor Beth Wagschal officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater. Family flowers only. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or a charity of your choice.
