Lionel Maxwell Deamond 1986 Halifax Chronicle Herald Oshawa- Funeral for Lionel Maxwell Deamond, 57, of Oshawa, formerly of Simpson's Corner, who died March 8 in Harwood, Ontario, was held here March 12. Burial was in Thornton Cemetery, Oshawa. Born in Simpson's Corner, he was a son of the late Earl and Damie (Hyson) Deamond. He was an employee of General Motors, Oshawa, for 27 years. He served in the Royal Canadian Army during thr Korean War. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Oshawa; of Masonic Lodge, #706, Whitby; and of Elk Lodge. He was an adherent of the Anglican Church. He is survived by three sisters, Lina (Mrs. Donald Moore), Robinson's Corner; Linda (Mrs. Vernon Wentzell), Mader's Cove; Marjorie (Mrs. Wayne Mosher), Scarsdale; five brothers, Lyall, Toronto; Randall, Oshawa; Ronald, Oakhill; Ralph, Auburndale; and Millage, West Clifford. Donations may be made to charity.
