Rita "Minnie Alrega" Ernst 2009 Halifax Chronicle Herald Published: Thursday, March 19, 2009. >From the collection of Gwen Christie Rita "Minnie Alrega" Ernst, 83, of Dayspring, passed away March 18, 2009, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Camperdown, she was a daughter of the late Oswald and Wilhelmine (Himmelman) Slauenwhite. Rita is survived by daughters, Shirley (Stewart) Dauphinee, Maitland; Judy (Brian) Lohnes, Upper Northfield; sons, Rex (Susan) Ernst, Dayspring; Clarence (Toni) Ernst, Dayspring; sisters, Lydia Reynolds, Halifax; Genevieve Love, Little Rock, Arkansas; Adeline Ernst, Maitland; brother, Verge Slauenwhite, Bridgewater; grandchildren, Kyle, Shawn, Cheryl, Annett, Wendell, James, Ryan, Elaine, and Darren; great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Cody, Rebecca, Jillyan, and Bret, along with several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth; daughter, Marjorie; grandson, Neil; brothers, Warren, Alden, Mervyn, Newton, and Oren; sisters, Correan and Ida. No visitation by request. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, March 20, in Sweeny's Funeral Home, Bridgewater, Rev. William Gustafson officiating. Burial will follow in Dayspring Cemetery.
