Laurie Schwartz 2003 Halifax Chronicle Herald Published: Friday, October 31, 2003. >From the collection of Gwen Christie Laurie Schwartz, Halifax, loving husband, proud father, grandfather, brother, cousin, and friend passed away October 29, 2003, in Parkstone Estates. Born in Mahone Bay, he was a son of the late Clarence and Gladys (Zink) Schwartz. Laurie will always be remembered with love by his wife, Yvonne; children, Holly (Harris) Crooks, John (Rita) (Power); Jan (Jim) Marriott; Suzanne (Peter) MacFarlane; and Peter; brother, Jack Armstrong(Mona); grandchildren, Carolle,Erin, and Kathryn Crooks, Suzanne, Sandy, and Garett Schwartz, Heather and Daniel MacFarlane, Alex Marriott; niece and nephew, Colleen and Ian Armstrong; many other extended family members. Funeral service and Celebration of Life will be held 11 a.m. today in Saint Joseph's Church, Shad Bay, with a reception to follow. Family visitiation will take place today in J.A. Snow Funeral Home, Windsor Street, Halifax. Donations in his memory may be made to Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia.
