Sarah Emily Wentzell 1938 Bridgewater Bulletin There passed away peacefully on Sunday evening, December 11, at the home of her son, Albert, New Canada, Sarah Emily Wentzell, widow of Archibald Wentzell, at the age of 85 years and ten months. She was a daughter of the late Benjamin and Mary Rhodenizer of West Northfield. She was an invalid for over thirteen years but she bore her sufferings with great patience. Her husband predeceased her over twelve years ago. She leaves to mourn her loss, six daughters, (Stella) Mrs. William Veinot, New Canada;(Alice) Mrs. William Young, Iva (Mrs. Lawrence Connell, both of Branch LaHave; (Ella) Mrs. George Arenburg, Midville Branch; (Beatrice) Mrs. Collin Lowe, Cookville; (Hazel) Mrs. William Carver, Wayland, Massachusettss; two sons, Herbert of Wayland; and Albert, at home; two brothers, Benjamin of Bridgewater; and Albert of West Northfield; also twenty grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. The funeral was held on Tuesday, December 13, at 2 p.m. Interment was at New Canada Cemetery. The services were conducted by her pastor, Rev. V.J. Monk. The hymns sung were "Safe in the Arms of Jesus," "What A Friend we Have in Jesus," "Abide With Me," and "Will That be Yours and Mine" with Mrs. Earl MacKay taking the solo part. All but two of the family were present.
