Mrs. Stewart Wile 1949 Bridgewater Bulletin There passed peacefully away at her home in Hemford at an early hour Wednesday morning, November 23, at the age of 57, Mrs. Stewart Wile.She had been in failing health about a year; her sickness being borne with very great patience. Being confined to her bed, she was faithfully and tenderly cared for by her daughter, Mrs. Viola Mosher, who left her duties at Halifax to be with her mother. Mrs. Wile was Jessie Stockman, a daughter of Albertina and the late Harry Stockman, Nineveh. Being of a family of 13 children, she had been the first to be called to her eternal home. She spent her married life in Hemford. Surviving are her husband; one daughter, Mrs. Viola Mosher and three sons, Alonzo, Lester, and Bernard. Four grandchildren predeceased her. There is one grandson, Clifford Mosher; five sisters, Mrs. Annie Veinot and Mrs. Stacia Bolivar in the United States; Margaret, Mrs. Naaman Silver, Helen, Mrs. Gordon Veinot, Hemford; Edith, Mrs. Austin Smith, Nineveh; six brothers, William , Truro; John, United States; Bernard in Ontario; Mark and Leonard, Nineveh; Garrett and Henry, New Germany. The funeral was held Friday afternoon at the church, preceeded by a short service at the home, the deceased being a member of the church. Rev. Mr. Sach of the United Church, New Germany, conducted the service. Hymns sung were,"Tell Mother I'll be There," "Shall We Gather at the River," and "Rock of Ages." Her body was laid to rest beside her children at Hemford Cemetery The pall-bearers wwere Angus Veinot, William Crouse, Howard Silver, and David Mailman.
