Arthur William Zwicker 2002 The Daily News >From the collection of Charlene Veinotte Arthur William Zwicker, 76, South Alton, Kings County, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, Tuesday, June 11, 2002, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Weston, Kings County, he was the son of the late William and Naomi (Boylan) Zwicker. He was employed in ship repair with Brookfield Construction, Halifax, as a burner with Halifax Shipyards, and in 1968 began teaching as a welding instructor and driver education instructor at Kings Regional Vocational School, Kentville, retiring in 1985. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Helen Margaret (Richard); daughters, Dr. Sonia Gaul, Kentville; Debbie (Gary) Huntley, Coldbrook; Narda (Jeff) Hovell, Fall River; Karna (Tom Morton), Kingsport; sons, A. LaVerne (Edith Sanford), Halifax; Richard (Clara), Windsor Junction; grandchildren, Joanne, Stephen, Robbie, Jan, Tawnya, Heather, Dane, Codi, Kirk, and Kelly; great-grandchildren, Emily and Kira. He was predeceased by his sister, Muriel Gaul. Visitation was held 2-4, 7-9 p.m.,with prayers at 8 p.m. yesterday in W.C. Hiltz Funeral Parlour, Kentville. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. today, June 14, in St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Kentville, Father Craig Christenson and Father Gerald Saulnier officiating. Burial will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery, Kentville. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory may be made to the Annapolis Valley Victorian Order of Nurses, Canadian Cancer Society, or a charity of your choice.
