Mrs. Mary Lena Conrad 1988 Bridgewater Bulletin Mrs. Mary Lena Conrad, 96, widow of Garfield Conrad, passed away at the Rosedale Home for Special Care, New Germany, Tuesday morning, January 4, 1988. Born at West Dalhousie, Annapolis County, on March 25, 1891, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Bertha (Gillis) Turner and moved with her parents to Simpson's Corner when she was a small child and devoted her entire long and useful life to this area where she will long be fondly remembered and missed. She was for many years a dedicated member of the United Church and faithfully attended and supported this work as long as health permitted and was generous in her support and attendance of the other denominations here as well. She was also a member of the Rebekah Lodge, and as her mother before her, she served this area well as a capable and obliging seamstress for many years. Surviving to mourn their loss are a daughter, Bonnie (Mrs. Gerald Mosher) and a foster daughter, Nancy Quinn, both of Middleton; one son, Randolph, Simpson's Corner; two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Feener and Kay (Mrs. Albert Sarty), both of Liverpool; eight grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband and three brothers, Marcel, Eddie, and Walter.
