Ida Josephine Wilson 2001 Halifax Chronicle Herald Published: Tuesday, November 6, 2001. >From the collection of Gwen Christie Idal Josephine Wilson, 96, Beech Hill, formerly residing in Hillcrest Nursing Home, Truro, passed away Sunday, November 4, 2001, in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born in Beech Hill, she was a daughter of the late William and Mabel (Pennall) Wilson. She was a past employee of the former R.B. Corkum Company, Chester Basin, Avon Canneries, Port Williams, and also worked as a homemaker for several residences in the local area. Surviving are daughters, Lillian Barkhouse, Bridgewater; Rita Godin, Welland, Ontario; Dorothy Gloade, Bear River First Nation; sister, Inez Perry, Truro; grandchildren, Richard Wilson, Florence Conrad, Shirley Myra, Charlotte Kelly, Marion George, Deborah Potter, Daniel Godin, Sandra Godin, Thomas J. Wilson, Belinda Skerry, Michelle Swinamer, Sarah D. Swinamer; stepgrandchildren, William Swinamer, Robert Swinamer; 19 great-grandchildren; seven great great-grandchildren; several step great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters, Phyllis Pike, Vera Kaizer; brothers, Theodore Wilson, Thomas Wilson, Woodrow Wilson, Aubrey Hatt, Clarence Wilson in infancy; great-granddaughter, Angela Kelly. Visitation 7-9 p.m. today, funeral service 2 p.m. Wednesday in Mahone Funeral Home, Mahone Bay, Rev. Carol Goodine officiating. Burial will follow in Western Shore Cemetery.
