Leith Lorenz Brown 2007 Halifax Chronicle Herald >From the collection of Charlene Veinotte Leith Lorenz "Lee" Brown, son of the late Austin and Roxie (Veinot) Brown, Forties, New Ross, passed away in Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe, Ontario, on Tuesday, December 18, 2007, in his 80th. year. Lee is survived by his beloved wife, Elizabeth "Betty" (Leivers) Brown, Port Dover. He was the cherished father and grandfather of David Milton and his wife Gail, Elliott Lake and their children, Dennis (Melanie), Betty, Daniel, and Gillian; Leslie Brown, Toronto; Brian and his wife Wendy, Milton and their children, James, Christopher, and Sarah; Karen Valenta and her husband Garry, Brampton and their children Aaron and Kendyl; and Andrew and his wife Marlene, Sault Ste. Marie, and their children, Nicole (Larry) and Melissa (Rayn). He was the proud grandfather of Macaylae, Riley, Olivia, and Gavin. He is lovingly remembered by his Nova Scotia family, sisters, Lois Lewis, Nina Moody, Shirley Reeves (Ashton), Beatrice Reeves (Carl Mosher); brothers, Clifford and Robert (Jennie Trask) and by his sisters-in-law, Annie and Arlene Brown and brother-in-law, Oran Reeves. He is also survived by his brothers, Donald (Marion), Saskatchewan and Charles (Frances), Ontario. He was predeceased by his son, Paul (1972); sister, Ella Reeves and brothers, Harley, Fayne and Dale Brown. Lee was an active member of the Hoss Card Club, the Lion's Den Senior Group and the Port Dover Lawn Bowling Club. A funeral service was held at the Jason Smith Funeral Chapel, Simcoe, on Friday, December 21, at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Timothy Dobbin officiating.
