Cleveland S. Semon 1973 Cleveland S. Semon died August 21 in Worcester City Hospital where he had been a patient for the past five weeks. Born at New Canada, Lunenburg County, on May 7, 1906, he was a son of the late Johnson and Laura (Silver) Semon. At the age of seventeen he went to the United States where he had since resided, having lived the past forty-seven years in Worcester. During this period he made frequent visits to Nova Scotia. He retired in 1971 after twenty-eight years as a machinist at Jorton County. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He is survived by his widow, Julia F. (Polo) Semon; four sons, Richard of nNew York City; Ronald of Washington, D.C.; Robert and Ralph of Worcester; two daughters, Marjorie, wife of Robert Homestead of Miami Beach; and Ruthann, wife of William D. Carroll of San Francisco; three brothers, Cecil of Boston; Lorraine of New Canada; and Lester of Liverpool. There are also ten grandchildren. He was predeceased by two brothers.
