Louise E. Swinamer 2010 Halifax Chronicle Herald >From the collection of Charlene Veinotte Louise E. Swinamer, Western Shore, passed away peacefully in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater, Thursday, May 20, 2010. Louise was born in Western Shore, the wife of the late Garth Swinamer. She is survived by her children, Carole, Morning Glory Farm, Gold River; Garnette (David Blankenship), Oak Island; Alan (Lee Tabor), Highland Park, Hammond's Plains; grandchildren, Travis, Sonya, Crystal; great-grandchildren, Sophie, Norah, Olivia; step great-grandchildren, Meaghan and Morgaine. She was predeceased by her husband, Garth; her parents, Clifford and Effie Barkhouse; her brother, Charles; her sisters, Mildred, Marjorie, and Vera; her granddaughter, Amanda. Mom will be remembered for her spirit of generosity, her love of all children, her dedication and work as postmaster of Western Shore, unconditional love to her family and her joy of nature, the birds, flowers, sea, moon, stars, the sky. A light has gone out of our lives... but her light will shine brightly in our hearts forever. Visitation will take place at 4 Young Road, Western Shore (family home) today from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 26, in St. Mark's Anglican Church, Martin's Point, Rev. Bonnie Baird and Rev. Ron Barkhouse officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Mark's Anglican Church or a charity of one's choice.
