Phyllis Irene Nauss 2009 Halifax Chronicle Herald >From the collection of Charlene Veinotte Phyllis Irene Nauss, 88, formerly of Windsor Road, passed away December 17, 2009, in Shoreham Village Home for Special Care, Chester. Born in Port Williams, she was a daughter of the late Byard Sutherland and Theodora Harding (Rand) Brown. Phyllis is survived by her daughters, Eleanor (Douglas) Hirtle, Martin's Point; Lorna (Denis) Oickle, Windsor Road; sons, Thomas (Bernice), Paul (Mary Frances), all of Windsor Road; Sandy (Teresa), Toronto; brother, Garth (Margaret) Brown, Upper Canard; grandchildren, Douglas (Patsy), Gordon (Carolyn), Paul (Tara), Barry (Jennifer), and Garry Hirtle, Paula and Douglas Nauss, April Gamache, Janice (Kevin) Hamill, Robin (Joe) Magri, Felicia Acker-Lanigan, Alex (Alyssa) Nauss; great-grandchildren, Michael, Emily, Ashley-Ann, Joshua, Tyler, Bradley, Zachary, Nathan, Britton, Palmer, Parker, and Serena Hirtle, Cherity and T.J. Nauss, Sarah and Rachel Gamache, Shawn and Samantha Hamill and Joey Magri; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Creighton; brother, Everett and sister, Frances Brown. Visitation 7-9 p.m. Monday, December 21, in Davis Funeral Home, Chester. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Chester United Baptist Church, Rev. Dan Green officiating. Burial to follow in Bayview Cemetery, Chester. Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to Canadian National Institute for the Blind or Canadian Diabetes Association.
