Isabel Nickerson 2005 Halifax Chronicle Herald Published: Wednesday, May 25, 2005. >From the collection of Gwen Christie Isabel Nickerson, 84, Roseway Manor, Sandy Point, formerly of Clark's Harbour, died May 23, 2005, in Roseway Manor. Born in Newellton, she was a daughter of the late Oscar and Agatha (Brown) Newell. She was a member of the United Baptist Stone Church, a past member of the Seabreeze Rebekah Lodge, past member of the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary, past member of the CSI Senior Citizens' Group. Before her illness, she was very involved in ventures within the community. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, and crafts. She is survived by son, Richard (Janet), Riverview, New Brunswick; daughters, Carolyn Nickerson, Clark's Harbour; Nancy (Ronald) Powell, Orillia, Ontario; Georgina (Stephen) Nickerson, Shelley (Joseph) Penney, South Side; brothers, Keith (Dot), Shelburne; Ted (Jenny), Ontario; sister, Ella Nickerson, West Pubnico; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Guy; sons, Paul and two in infancy; brothers, Alfred, Randolph; sisters, Florence, Dorothy, Lillian. Visitation will be 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. today in H. Huskilson's Funeral Home, Barrington. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday in H. Huskilson's Memorial Chapel, Barrington, Rev. Shaun Hatfield officiating. Burial will be in Oakvale Cemetery, Clark's Harbour. Memorial donations may be made to the Oakvale Cemetery, White Lily Cemetery or any charity.
