Clifton Earl Wright 1963 Bridgewater Bulletin On Wednesday, August 21st., 1963, C.E. Wright passed away in his sleep at the age of 69. The second son of William and Ada (Hendry) Wright, he spent all his life on the old homestead. He was twice married. From his marriage to Winnifred Taylor, survive: Eris (Mrs. Eldridge Armsworthy), Halifax; Phyllis (Mrs. C.Roy Joudrey) of Rockingham; and Merlyn, of New Germany. A son, Paul, died in infancy. Surviving are two brothers, Vernon L., of Dalhousie East; Arthur of Chicago; two sisters, Mrs. Mabel Hume, North Bay, Ontario; and Mrs. Willard Waterman, South Brookfield and ten grandchildren. His second marriage was to Fay Paisley of Scotland. She, with a host of nieces and nephews, mourn the loss of one who really loved younger company. He was church clerk and deacon in the Baptist Church. The funeral service was held on Saturday at 2 p.m. The choir, made up of friends from all parts of our field, rendered ,"Some Time We'll Understand" and "Abide With Me." A solo, "I Won't Have to Cross Jordan Alone" was given by Rev. George Brydon of Deep Brook. A very special friend of the family, he was accompanied by Carroll Crouse at the organ. Rev. Harold Price and Lic. J. Leddicote spoke comforting words and used as a text, "Here we have no continuing city." The floral offerings were many and beautiful. The church was full and many sat in their cars. Bearers were men who had been associated with him in Kirk's Christmas Tree Company in which he was head in Nova Scotia until his retirement two years ago. They were Winfield DeLong, Delmer Conrad, Wm. Brown, Russell Conrad, Maurice Taylor, and Quentin Kaulback. The service was in charge of the Langille Funeral Home. The flowers and cards, too many to record, will be answered privately.
