William Albert Oickle 1976 Bridgewater Bulletin William Albert Oickle, of Dalhousie, passed away Sunday, March 7, 1976, at West Kings Memorial Hospital, Berwick. Born in Maitland, Lunenburg County, on August 3, 1889, he was a son of the late James and Mary(Veinot) Oickle. Surviving are his wife, the former Idella Lohnes; five daughters, Lois (Mrs. Parker Tufts); Ida (Mrs. Donald Zinck), both of Lake Pleasant; Mary (Mrs. John Legge), Dalhousie; Nellie, Eileen, both at home; a son, Albert, at home; a brother, Fred, Dalhousie; 10 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Ellen; six brothers, Freeman, Manuel, Lee, John, Ozem, and Alvin. The body rested at Langille's Funeral Home, New Germany. The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 10, from St. Cyprian's Anglican Church, Dalhousie, Rev. Gordon Neish officiating. Hymns sung were ,"Just As I Am" and "Safe in the Arms of Jesus." The pallbearers were John Legge, Henry Matthews, James and Maurice Oickle. Burial was in the church cemetery.
