Francis Laurie Smith 2007 Halifax Chronicle Herald Published December 1, 2007. >From the collection of Gwen Christie Francis Laurie "Frank" Smith, 66, Lake Paul, Kings County, passed away suddenly at his home on Wednesday, November 28, 2007. Born in Thomasville, Shelburne County, he was a son of Alice (MacKay) Smith, Shelburne and the late Laurie Smith. Frank served in the Royal Canadian Air Force and had worked for 13 years in Ontario for the Limestone District School Board as a bus driver. Frank had a passion for cars. Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife, Deborah A. (Eikle) Smith; daughters, Velma (Gary) Prue, Landsowne, Ontario; Maureen (Brian) Landsbergen, Napanee, Ontario; Lesley (David) Inglis, Ottawa; stepchildren, April Hazel, Halifax; Dion Hazel, Bridgewater; grandchildren, Samantha Prue, Myra and Owen Landsbergen, Michelle, Bradley, Ryan, and Patrick Inglis, all of Ontario; brothers, John (Imelda), Calgary; Bill (June), Thomasville, Ontario; sister, June (Sam) Stewart, Mount Pleasant, Lunenburg County. There will be no visitation. Funeral service will take place 11 a.m. Monday, December 3, in H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home, Berwick, Rev. Charles Bull officiating. interment will take place in Ontario at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia, Canadian Diabetes Association or any charity.
