Lamont Arthur Veinotte 1981 Bridgewater Bulletin Lamont Arthur Veinotte, 86, died in the North Queens Nursing Home, Thursday, November 12. Born in East Dalhousie, Kings County, he was a son of the late Jerry Oickle and Devilla Veinotte. Surviving are half-brother,Thomas Lohnes; four half-sisters, Mrs. Annie Johnson, Hall's Harbour; Mrs. Idella Oickle, Mrs. Delia Lowe, and Mrs. Lois Robar, all of East Dalhousie. He was predeceased by his wife, May Ellen Herman. The body rested in Langille's Funeral Home, New Germany, until Monday. Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. in St. Crypian's Anglican Church with burial in the church cemetery, Rev. Gordon Neish officiating. Pallbearers were Eric Wilson, Basil Lowe, Ivan and Errol Crossland. The organist was Mrs. V.L. Wright; the hymn"Abide With Me" was rendered. Lamont will long be remembered for the many hours he spent helping people who needed help and asked for nothing in return. The neighbours who helped and took food to him after his illness and his wife's illnesses are to be thanked for their kindness to him and we pray he will enjoy rest eternal.
