Amy Muriel Meisner 2007 Halifax Chronicle Herald Amy Muriel Meisner, 98, New Germany, passed away on Thursday May 17, 2007, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in New Germany, she was a daughter of the late Isaac and Eldora (Lowe) Tipert. She was a lifetime member of St. John in the Wilderness Anglican Church, New Germany, where she was a member of the choir for 75 years. She also served with the Altar Guild and was a former ACW. She was a lifetime member of New Horizons Senior Citizens Club, New Germany and past member of the Rebekah Lodge. Surviving are her daughter, Norma (Freeman) McClary, New Germany; granddaughter, Christa (Jeff) Rosevear; grandson, Chad; great-granddaughter, Kendra Amy Rosevear; sisters, Meda Whynot, Windsor; Elsie Veinot, New Germany; Edith Poole, Caledonia; and Margaret Ward, Bridgewater. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank; and brothers, Maxwell, Layton, and Reginald. Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. on Sunday in Sweeny's Funeral Home, New Germany. The funeral will take place at 2 p.m. on Monday in St. John in the Wilderness Anglican Church, Rev. Anna Hoeg officiating. Private burial will follow in the church cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to the New Germany and Area Medical Centre, St. John in the Wilderness Anglican Church or charity of choice.
