Barbara Vivian Schnare 2005 Halifax Chronicle Herald Published: Tuesday, May 10, 2005. >From the collection of Gwen Christie Barbara Vivian Schnare, 87, Mahone Bay, formerly of Bridgewater, passed away May 7, 2005, in Mahone Nursing Home, Mahone Bay. Born in Bridgewater, she was a daughter of the late Ora and Margaret (Layes) Haines. She is survived by daughters, Linda (Brian) Grennan, Upper Sackville; Peggy Ann (Ronald) Chase, Barss Corner; son, Sandy (Gwen) Schnare, Barss Corner; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Marjorie Nauss, Sicamous, British Columbia. She was predeceased by her husband, Gilbert; brothers, Robert, Bernard, and Weldon. A public graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday in Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater, Father Ron Appleton officiating. There will be no visitation or flowers by request. Memorial donations may be made to the Bridgewater Inter Church Food Bank, Mahone Nursing Home Van Fund or a charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Sweeny's Funeral Home, Bridgewater.
