UNKNOWN PAPER - 1957 STEWIACKE - The death occurred at his home early Friday morning of one of Stewiacke's most highly respected citizens, Alvin Arnold Andrews. Fifty-four years old, he was the son of the late Mr and Mrs William Andrews. He was a life resident of Stewiacke. He was a member of St. Andrews United Church choir, and of the men's choir of the same church. He was also a member of St. Andrews Lodge IOOF. He is survived by his wife, the former Louise Fisher, two sons, Douglas, Stewiacke and Oscar, RCEME, Kingston, Ontario; three daughters, Marjorie (Mrs M. Lorne Code), Truro, Elsie (Mrs D. Kent Carroll) Fredericton, and Sylvia at home. Also surviving are three sisters, Gladys (Mrs Emile McCarthy) Stewiacke, Bertha (Mrs John Coulter), Fredericton, and Bessie (Mrs Jack Wilson), West Brook , Maine, and two brothers Thomas, Truro and Harry, Stewiacke, and five grandchildren. He was predeceased by one brother, Kenneth, Stewiacke. The funeral will be held Sunday at home at 1:30pm and at St Andrews United Church at 2:30 pm. Dr. E.V. Forbes will officiate, assisted by Dr. B.C.Salter. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.
