Barbara Marion Romney 2011 Halifax Chronicle Herald Published: Tuesday, December 20, 2011. >From the collection of Gwen Christie Barbara Marion Romney, 90, of Chester Basin, died December 18 ,2011, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Lunenburg, she was the daughter of the late J. Reginald and Ruth Olive (Hebb) Freeman. She was a realtor and businesswoman. She was an avid bridge player, member of the Conservative Party, and St. Stephen's Anglican Church. Barbara is survived by her son, Philip (Franceen), Mader's Cove; daughters, Heather and Priscilla (Darryl Burgess), Chester; grandchildren, Jennifer, Matthew, Sarah, Kate, and Ross; and three great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, George and granddaughter, Amanda. Cremation has taken place with funeral to be held in January, 2012.
