Emma Odessa Anderson 2007 Halifax Chronicle Herald Emma Odessa Anderson, 83, Clarence, passed away Monday, March 19, 2007, in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Falkland Ridge, she was a daughter of the late James and Mary (Woodbury) Sproule. Emma was a master chef and worked with the Department of Corrections in Ontario for approximately 25 years before retiring to Nova Scotia. She enjoyed music, crocheting, and crossword puzzles. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by her loving companion of 16 years, Vance Jackson, Clarence; daughters, Elizabeth Jervis, Toronto; Sue (Robert) Thompson, Toronto; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and long-time friend, Rose (Robert) Baltzer, North Williamston. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Anderson; sister, Willa; and brother, Frank. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, March 22, in Clarence United Baptist Church, Rev. George Mollins officiating, with cremation to follow. Interment will be held at a later date in Falkland Ridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice.
