Born in Dartmouth, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Elsie (Mouland) Goobie. She is survived by husband, Archibald; daughters, Mary (David) Crouse, Front Centre; Jean Hackama, Edmonton; Linda Amero, Halifax; Sarah (Gary) Whynacht, Lunenburg; Susan (David) Hirtle, Bush Island; son, Peter Amero, Vancouver; brother, William (Jean) Goobie, Hmailton; half-brother, Robert Lohnes, Bridgewater; half-sister, Diane Bennett, Dartmouth; sister-in-law, Erna Goobie, First South; 18 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by infant daughter, Florence; brother, Gordon Goobie; grandson, John. No visitation by family request. Funeral service 1:30 p.m. Saturday in R.A. Corkum Funeral Home, Wileville, Rev. James Haughn officiating. Burial in Peaceful Hill Cemetery, West Dublin. Family flowers only.
