    3. Kenneth Kaulback 1943 Bridgewater Bulletin Parkdale News Column of November 3, 1943. A telegram was received by Mrs. Frank P. Looke on Thursday from her brother, Spr. Charles E. Kaulback of the R.C.E., England, stating his only son, Kenneth Kaulback, had been reported killed in action. Kenneth was born in New Germany in 1920 but soon after his birth, his parents returned to Bromeby, England. At the beginning of the war, although but a lad, he enlisted and was soon in active service. He went through the campaign in Africa. After the close of the campaign he wrote his father he was in on the first of it and was glad and proud to be in on the last. Instead of having a rest at home in England, he was sent on with the 8th. Army, presumably through the campaign to Sicily and on to Italy. It is young men like this who are giving their lives for us which make us feel humble and wonder what we can do to help end this conflict. Kenneth is survived by his parents and one sister, all residing in England. His father is in the Canadian Army. His aged grandfather, Obadiah Kaulback lives in Maplewood and there are relatives in Nova Scotia and the United States. To all, their friends extend sympathy.
