Born in Victoria Beach, Annapolis County, she was the daughter of the late Milford Lee Munroe and Mary Elizabeth Atkins. Surviving are her husband, Ralph, Lunenburg; sons, Gary, Douglas, Bridgewater; daughters, Marilyn Lavoie, Quebec; Valerie Gidney, Calgary; foster daughter, Rosetta Dunn, South Waterville; sister, Lenore Bent, Phinney Cove; half-sister, Mildred Trafiak, Winnipeg; half-brother, George Munroe, New Brunswick; seven grandchildren; a great-grandchild. She was predeceased by half-brother, James Saulnier, Ontario; half-sisters, Lydia, Winnipeg, Vickey. Visitation 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, funeral 2 p.m. Wednesday, both in Jayne's Funeral Home, Digby, Rev. Leon Langille officiating. Burial in Digby Baptist Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations to Canadian Diabetes Association or Children's Wish Foundation.
