Wesley Oran Keddy 2005 Halifax Chronicle Herald Published: Friday, May 6, 2005. >From the collection of Gwen Christie Wesley Oran Keddy, 78, Berwick, passed away May 4, 2005, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Martin's River, he was a son of the late Emmerson and Florence (Nauss) Keddy. Wesley had been employed at Berwick Bakeries Limited and later as a salesman for P-Med Supplies Limited and Atlantic Wholesalers Limited. He was an active member and had held various offices with the Berwick and District Lions Club, Valley Lodge 90, AF&AM, Berwick, and several Masonic lodges of the Scottish and York Rites, the AAONMS, Philae Temple, Halifax, as well as the Eastern Valley Shrine Club. He had served as the Deputy Grand Master of Masons for Kings District. He was a member of the Berwick Curling Club and had helped organize many Masonic bonspiels. Wes was an avid golfer and enjoyed sports of all kinds. Several years ago, he had been inducted into the Berwick Sports Hall of Fame. Surviving are his daughters, Beverly Keddy, Berwick; Bernice (George) Haayer, Waterville; Jillian Keddy-Welsh, Wolfville; sister, Pauline (Wallace) Langille, Martin's River; niece, Christine Langille, Martin's River. There will be no visitation. The funeral service, a Lions service and a Masonic service, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 9, in H.C. Lindsay Memorial Chapel Berwick, Rev. Father Charles Bull officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in St. Martin's Cemetery, Martin's River. Donations in memory may be made to the Shriners' Hospital Fund or St. Martin's Anglican Church, Martin's River.
