Mrs. Charles Whynot 1949 Bridgewater Bulletin Following a long and painful illness, the death of Mrs. Charles Whynot occurred at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Floyd Arenburg, New Germany, on Tuesday, April 5. She was formerly Miss Susanna Allen, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. David Allen and was born at Lake Pleasant 84 years ago. Surviving is an adopted daughter, Viola, Mrs. Floyd Arenburg, with whom she resided since the death of her husband eight years ago; two grandchildren, Marguerite, Mrs. Earl Feener, Pinehurst and Lorraine, at home; and one great granddaughter, Virginia Feener. Also surviving are four brothers, Henry Allen, Falkland Ridge; Harvey Allen, Kentville; Isaac Allen, Upper Northfield; and Daniel Allen, Lake Pleasant. Two brothers, David and James of Springfield, and a sister, Mrs. Harry Whynot, died a number of years ago. Mrs. Whynot was a faithful member of the United Church and in her younger days was an active worker in the Women's Association. She was a kind neighbour, always willing to help anyone in need. She will be greatly missed by her relatives and friends. The funeral services were held on Thursday afternoon at Epworth United Church, conducted by the pastor, Rev. S.G. MacQueen.
