Allison Morton Nickerson 2000 Halifax Chronicle Herald Published: Tuesday, May 30, 2000. >From the collection of Gwen Christie Allison Morton Nickerson, 84, Clam Point, Shelburne County, died May 28, 2000, in the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Port LaTour, he was a son of the late William and Elizabeth (Cann) Nickerson. He was a veteran of the Second World War. Surviving are his wife, the former Genevieve Quinlan; sons, Allison Jr., Clam Point; William, Baccaro; daughter, Mary Brown, Barrington; sister, Bertha Allen, Shelburne; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by daughter, Elizabeth; brothers, Kenneth, William, Leland, Arthur, and Lewis. Visitation will be held 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in H. Huskilson's Funeral Home, Barrington. Funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday in H. Huskilson's Memorial Chapel, Barrington, Rev. Robie Atkinson officiating. Burial in the Atlantic Cemetery, Stoney Island. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
